In his early career, Caoimhin learned his craft in the famed Belfast boxing club, Holy Trinity. At aged 20 he suffered a life-threatening attack by a gang in Belfast. Once he recovered from this, he laced up the gloves again and began climbing through the professional ranks. He remains undefeated and holds the WBA International middleweight title. ‘Black Thunder’ has made his intentions clear: he aims to become the first black Irish world champion.
